Introduction:
Los Diablos, in its “high time,” was a city infested with the Mafia, which even meant that the small police force was nearly entirely made if bribed police officers or even the Mafia members themselves. However, this soon came to the realization of some bigger forces, who “swept out” the Mafia. Of course, the Mafia, having grown so much in the city, was able to lay dormant until the federal forces left. By then, though, the playing field was leveled. The police force was clean again, with harder-to-corrupt members. The gangs not affiliated with the Mafia had somehow avoided the attention of the federal forces and grew to a stronger body. The terrorists, even as their numbers dwindled, somehow began finding better and stronger weapons. And the Mafia, which used to rule over all, had to struggle just to survive the streets.

Overview:
The basic layout of Los Diablos is as such: It is made of several different “groups” – the Mafia, a growing force that has the advantage of surprise after being “wiped out,” the police, the law enforcement that tries to keep the others in check, the gangs, groups that, while typically doing things against the police, have no ties to the Mafia, the terrorists, extremist groups that slip in and out of police radar, and mercenaries, agents who do things for money, and can one moment be on an assassination job for the Mafia just to kill the Mafia boss himself.




The Mafia:
The Mafia, after the operation by federal officials, has had their power of the police force severed. While they have made several intrusions, into the ranks of police, more often than not, both the briber and the one being bribed are caught and jailed, tearing apart the ranks of the still weak Mafia. Still, as a “base” was recreated and heavily concealed, the Mafia is continuing to grow.

Bonus:
-The Mafia got a main based that is heavy guarded
-The Mafia Leader starts out with 5 Guards that he controls (can be taken by other members, but then you have to stick around with the leader. What fun is that?).
-The Mafia Leader starts out whit $2500 Gold, members $500
-The Mafia gets $100 off of specializations 1, 2, 10, 11
-Base salary of $100 per week unless a higher skill is utilized.

2. Business Ties - Can sometimes find good deals through stores they own (10% off all weapons/armor)
3. Protection Money - gain money from local stores ($250 a week, 5% off all weapons/armor)

There is currently only one Mafia Gang; the Leader may make their name if he wish.

The Gangs:
The Gangs are the true enemy to the Police; Gang Members use every chance they got to take out the police. They are individualistic, and support each other within the gang, but do not like dealing with outsiders. The Gang members know their territory very well, growing up on the streets.

-The Gang Members have good morality, making bribes and other corruption unable to be performed.
-The Gang Members goes around in groups on 3-5
-The Gang Members starts out with $1000
-The Gang Members get $50 off of all specializations
-Base Salary: $100

The Terrorists:
The terrorists are a small group of extremists who work for what they believe is the greater good of the world. They have no qualms with accepting money for jobs so long as they believe it helps them. They will most likely be Europeans or Middle-easterners (France, Spain, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russian, etc.), although limited American terrorists are even harder to catch.

Bonus:
-Terrorists start out with $1000.
-Terrorists are smart and communicate well, and typically only go into action with a carefully detailed plan.
-Terrorists do not as of yet have any information known by authorities.
-Terrorists get $500 off of specializations 4 and 12.
-Terrorists can be hired by the Mafia (or gangs, although they typically lack the money).
-Base Salary: $100

Skills (Choose 1):
1. Utopian Society- Terrorists are have stronger wills and can go to extreme measures.
2. Kamikaze- Terrorists are 50% better with explosives
3. Payment- Terrorists get $300 a week from a mysterious outside source.


The Police:
The Police are the holding the law up as good as they are able to, they patrol the city in a group of 1-2 and help the civilians. The Police arrest criminals and put them behind bars where they belong. The police got ranks and are very disciplined and are restricted to the rules. The Police gain weapons and items from the government.

Mission: Bust the Bribed Police officers (with proof), arrest the Mafia Leaders and fight the criminal Gangs and the most important, protect the civilians.

Bonus:
-The Police get all Pistol weapons, ammo, items and police cars free from the government.
-The Police Patrol on 1-2
-The Police help out other police officers, covers his story (planting Prof for court and stuff like that)
-The Police starts out with $500
-Back up - can call in re-enforcement
-Base Salary: $200 per week

The mercenary works for the money, his loyalty is to those who pay money. These ruthless assassins do any thing for money, even killing there own mom for money.

-Mercenaries work alone, no matter what.
-Mercenaries start out with $1500
-Mercenaries get $100 off specializations 2,6,7,11

1. Assassin: gain additional 50% getting away with an assassination
2. Trading: Mercenaries gets 10% off all weapons\items
3. Silent: Mercenaries makes 50% less noise when moving and 75% when standing (50% stealth)

Specializations:
Specializations give players bonuses. They do cost money, but can be increased in other ways too. There are various levels for reach specialization, some classes may get different specializations than others. Specialization bonuses do stack.

Levels will be awarded by Garf and anyone else I deem able. Getting levels will be earned by recruiting new players, as well as being good and active, and being COMMITTED. Basically, good effort is rewarded, joining is somewhat rewarded, and not joining at all is not respected. This is a good thread, it would be a shame if you weren't in it. After a couple weeks or so, we will look around at who is active. If you are active enough, you will have your Commitment raised. If you cause problems....

Appearance: John is a person who many could not even suspect killed a man. At just 5'2", he blends in easily with the crowd, but, although small, he is still stronger than most men. Due to his high muscle mass, however, he appears quite chubby - until someone gets a closer glance. He has a brown, crew-cut head of hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin.

History: John, as he grew up, was his parent's "perfect child" - straight A's, great athletics, and the sort. After he graduated from college with an undergrad major in law, though, he was tricked by a strange phone call into making him believe that one of his friends had done something terrible. The calls continued, until a fat check arrived in John's mailbox attached to a gun and a note. After John had killed his friend, he realized the horror of what he had done and staged his own suicide, driving his car off into a raging river that drained into the deep sea. He quickly took up an alias, moving away as far as he could from New Jersey to Los Diablos. Before he knew it, he was working with the strange voice on the phone, performing small jobs. And then the voice stopped calling, and, with the training he had recieved, John moved into the world.

Appearance: Brown hair and pretty laid back. He has a dragon tattoo on his back. Usually, he wears his Department's special uniform provided for him, a uniform with a dragon on his back.

History: A young man. Who worked with the Police Department. His father was a true legend among the force. However, His parents were killed when the mafians took control of his home. Drakzen barely escaped from the skin of his teeth. After 4 years, Drakzen also became one of the Police's highest ranked members. Known to the force as "Police Dragon", he is a very devoted cop. His laid back personality and laziness covers his true identity. He also gets many tips from a lot of Bartenders around town.

Age: 25, appear: 23

Appearance: Long dark hair that reaches to a level about an inch past his shoulders.
Wears a black overcoat, thick black boots and black pants. Has a lip piercing right in the center of his lower lip. His skin is slightly pale
Pretty much a slight "Gothic" look

History: Originaly born as Christofe Bourasue. His parents were born in Quebec (canada) and during thier youth the became involved with the FLQ (a terrorist organization during the 1970's). During this time anyone even SUSPECTED to be in the FLQ was hunted out by the canadain authorities and jailed....they simply couldn't risk the rebelion to get out of hand. Krz's parents were no exception. Eventully the terrorist organization was shut down and all those arrested were pardoned. Krz's parents still stayed friends with some of their old commarades.

When Krz was 11 his parents were brutally murdered by a mafia soldier. Krz was alone, so some of those former FLQ members decided to look after him. Eventully Krz learned the location of the mafia soldier who killed his parents, and found out that since that time, this soldier has become the right hand man for the Mafia Boss in Los Diablos. Through the help of some of his caretaker's contacts, Krz made his way for Los Diablos....and now he is here to avenge his parents, and to fight a personal war against the family that killed his.....what ever it takes.


To fund his expenses, Krz has found a way use some of the skills that the FLQ members taught him to do a few 'side jobs'. Most people who call for his services are usualy gangs and the ocasional corporation. He is known quite well to the local mafia...and they as of yet don't know his plans of assasinating one of their own.

He still has contacts w/ the former FLQ in Quebec and along with one or two members in IRA and Al-Qaeda whom he met through the former FLQ.
