A Poem for Valentines Day

Here's a poem I just came up with in a few minutes, but I really like it. Feel free to copy it and send it to your valentines with a dozen roses. If you do use it, tell me what the person thought of it.

A Dozen Roses

The first rose is
From me to you
With all the love I’ve got.

The second one’s
For you to give
To someone who you like a lot.

The third rose is
For purity.
The fourth one is for grace.

The fifth one’s for
The tears you’ve cried
That trickle down your face.

The sixth rose is
For happiness.
May all your days be bright.

The seventh is
To hold you close
And comfort you all through the night.

The eighth rose is
To bring you luck.
The ninth's to make you smile.

The tenth one is
For when I’m gone
For you to cherish all the while.

The eleventh rose
Is pure and white
As soft as falling snow.

And finally,
The dozenth rose
Is so you'll always know

Just how much I love you.

Hmm, have you thought of writing for one of those card companies?

Way too mushy for me... mine tend to say:

I sent you a pie,
here's mud in your eye...

Do, I'm sure they'd like it.

Let's face it... people buy lots of cards full of sentimental verses and I'm sure there's a good living to be made in writing verses for them if you can get into it.

It sounds really good.Its SO romantic,corny,and mushy which I love!I think you did an awesome job on it!As you can tell,I'm a valentine person..lol.

Hehe, thanks, but I looked on the Hallmark website and it said that:

... Hallmark requires permanent authorization to work in the US without company sponsorship, and that we do not accept unsolicited freelance submissions.

I have no idea what that means.

Actually, there's only one person I want to read this. That person is my valentine, but she's quite a complex batch of emotions so I have no idea how she'll react to this poem. I hope she likes it.

Me either...no clue what that means..ahaha.If your valentine,is ANYTHING like me I know she'll like it.If my valentine did that for me,I'd love him forever,ahaha.I think its really sweet because your expressing your feelings and showing her your feelings all in one!
