Appearance: Illuminus is a male of average height and weight. He has black, short hair, brown eyes, a somewhat muscular body and a unique scar below the wrist. His clothes lack sophistication, a ruggish, brown cloak made of animal fur, along with a leather hood for heat insulation.

Attitude: Luminus is a somewhat naive individual, easy to set off, and very protective of institutions and his values. His lust for exploration is immortal, however weakened under strenuous conditions.

Alignment: Negotiation and Shelter are two values Illuminus has always found mightier than the sword.. Until the Divine Guardians arrived. His Calm Good alignment has given him the ability to move concealed.. However, this has weakened him dramatically, his conscience often telling him that the Divine Guardians are living creatures and that two wrongs do not make a right.

History: Illuminus was born under the name Luminus Scientia in a small settlement along the mountains of Sayarin in Nasylum. His mother died giving birth, the extremely cold conditions calling the death upon her. His father, Lorvan Conceptis, fell into a deep depression, lasting until Illuminus was five years old.
Luminus wasn't like the other boys.. Most of the boys were intrigued with the art of weaponsmaking and swordsmanship, many participating in tournaments at ages as young as 12. Yet, almost in extreme contrast to everyone else, Luminus quickly expanded his talent of mathematics. At the age of 14, he traveled to Mignicen with his father to watch a tournament in which his best friend, Slammara Yi'Knov, was participating. During this one-week stay, he met a banker of Grik, who quickly realized the young man's talent in mathematics and economics.

A small job as assistant-banker gave him the opportunity to further develop his skills, and after two years in the business, he felt as though he had found his carreer.

However, his father was never proud of his son. He wanted Luminus to be a fighter, a renowned and celebrated individual, a fighter for justice. Luminus tried, time and time again, to make his father realize that this was his chance.. His father could not accept it.

Meanwhile, the young boy moved to Grik to further help out in the bank, successfully learning the tactics necessary to sell items, even having a shot at commanding a small group of fighters to fight robbers, thieves and rapists, settled outside the city.

It was a difficult task, the icy cold providing bitter conditions for the young boy, but the Banker of Grik, whose name he still did not know, put alot of faith into the young individual.

The arrows fell before dawn, as Luminus' team attacked from the north, the bandits fleeing to the south. Suddenly, the team was ambushed from hidden fighters, lurking in the darkness. Watching his comrades perish under his leadership, Luminus felt a sudden urge to do something within him.. He placed his two hands to the side, and light seemed to flow through him, illuminating the entire small settlement.

The attack was a success..

Yet, the more Luminus tried to make his father proud, the more his father fell back into the deep depression he emerged from..

One night, his father took a dagger and stabbed himself in the heart in front of his 16-year-old son.
It took Luminus 4 years to recover from the shock, running from place to place, crossing the wilderness, looking, searching.. Then the DG came. In one month, he tried his best to gain knowledge of magic and fighting, but only acquired the basic skill. And as the skies lit up, and as more and more rumors spread of an onslaught, Luminus found his godly task. He sunk into the roots of Dianism, practiced throughout much of the country, and was now determined to fight this onslaught.
Perhaps, one day, he could shake the feeling of guilt, the feeling that his father killed himself because of his only son, perhaps one day he could shake the feeling of being responsible for the deaths of both his parents.. Perhaps..

Spells:

-- (Low) Illumination. Learned during his assault on a bandit settlement, Luminus acquired the knowledge necessary to create a weak, white light, enough to light a small portion of a small alley. Due to Luminus's lack of training however the spells lasts for only a limited time.

-- (Low) Leadership: From years of learning the skills to run a successful shop, from years of studying mathematics, selling products and coining money, Luminus has skill rallying troops. He is not yet the commanding figure of a professional commander, but can lead troops of up to 10 without trouble.
