We have a case of HIV that has been officially cured. Nike filed a patent for the self-lacing sneakers from Back to the Future 2, and some guy made a levitating skateboard. We have computers so sophisticated that the ability to simulate a single entire planet is considered commonplace and dull, and complex physics simulations are employed as entertainment within reach of a large segment of the population. Spaceflight is commercially available.

There exist devices to clean filthy water so efficiently that they can be used as straws. Charitable organizations are providing distributed mesh-network computing to impoverished nations. You can control computers with your body, and prosthetic devices with your mind.
Personal robot servants are commercially available, and bored students build specialized robots to suit their needs. Personal replicators exist. Every person on Earth is capable of communicating with any other person on Earth.
The blueprints for civilization can be found for free and accessed from anywhere. There is no point on the surface of the planet that cannot access the global communications network.
I don't know when it happened, but Singularity isn't coming. It's gone. We missed it. We live in the future, and the future is AWESOME.
