would it be advantageous to war early? get those raids going on big accounts before their troops are all trained? getting people to leave alliances knowing their beginning of age growth would almost stop? knowing other alliances would have a huge jump on you and maybe pick up your officers? would it be only something a large alliance should worry about? knowing your opponent is outgrowing you now, and warring now might be to your advantage if you prepare soon enough, knowing they aren't..

we are one week into a new age. is it too soon?

There is only one way to find out and that is by doing it.

Traditionally speaking yes, it is too early to war. But thats just because there isn't a whole lot to sab yet. If you're willing to mass, you can do some damage just fine. If I recall correctly there have been wars started as early as day 1.

I think one age in RF we all trained soldiers straight away and raided PR main as soon as possible, it crippled their age but because of this the war went on for a long time because they had nothing left to lose.

The only down point of an early war are the limited amount turns to pull something big off, the same goes for small alliances that taking on much bigger alliances.
