View Full Version : Stealing around 15% of gold when I hit

I've tried this multiple times and I always seem to steal around 15%-25% of a person's gold whenever I hit them. This has been going on for a little while and I have 50 attack turns stored up because they are basically useless whenever I use them. I get around 34k from my soldiers and only steal around 40-50k when attacking people in the 200k range. I always have significantly more attack power than those who I am attacking so I'm puzzled as to why I'm not getting more gold.

what is your TFF, and what is your target's TFF

Sorry I'm such a noob. I had to google that term. My total fighting force is 923 and the people I attack almost always have much smaller forces. I just tried attacking someone with over 1000 people and I stole almost all of their gold. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, to take a big chunk of gold you must attack people with larger armys than yourself.

i believe the ratio is done with how many attacking soldiers you have vs defending soldiers.. so your defensive specialists wouldn't count against you if you were attacking

I only have 4 trained attack specialists and I take around 85% when i attack b/c my total attacking force is always like 1/16 of the TFF of my opponent

Your total number of soldiers has to be less than the total number of soldiers in the army you are attacking.

All of these soldiers have to be added together for your total tff and your total tff has to be less than the army you are attacking in order to get a good percentage of their gold.

+Trained Attack Soldiers
+Trained Attack Mercenaries
+Trained Defense Soldiers
+Trained Defense Mercenaries
+Untrained Soldiers
+Untrained Mercenaries

=Total Fighting Force

If you have more soldiers than they do then you will not get good gold --- and that includes adding all of these soldiers to get your total fighting force --- Trained Attack Soldiers, Trained Attack Mercenaries, Trained Defense Soldiers, Trained Defense Mercenaries, Untrained Soldiers, and Untrained Mercenaries.

Your spies and sentry do not count in your TFF, but you may have losses due to attacks by or on you.

So if i have a pile of Defensive specialists it DOES count against me when i attack? odd but i guess it makes sense

Yes, your defense soldiers and defense mercs count as part of your TFF so that "they count against you when you attack". These soldiers added together make up your TFF: your total fighting force = Trained Attack Soldiers + Trained Attack Mercenaries + Trained Defense Soldiers + Trained Defense Mercenaries + Untrained Soldiers + Untrained Mercenaries.

Your army's TFF has to be less than the TFF of the army you are attacking in order to get a good % of the gold that you are attacking for.

If your TFF is greater than that of the army you are attacking then you will get no gold or very little gold.
