View Full Version : Unit Production Costlier...??

EnemySlayer

I respect the admins for trying to make the game better, But I dont understand what prompted the admins to make the unit production costlier. If they are thinking that this will make the players start clicking, then they are seriously mistaken. And now the big accounts will continue growing and the small players will be left to rot.

First, it was using the same address for recruit link and the ads, to disable any ad blocking software. And now this....!! Makes me believe that the admins want to change the rules and make it better just to attract people and increase their revenue.

There is no way I will be coerced into clicking. 300k for 5 man UP is ridiculous.

I came back to KoC after Age 3/4 cause I was feeling nostalgic and I got an email. And I come to this? ****ing ridiculous. I do not want to click just so I can manage to scrounge up the troops and income to have base production. I remember back in the day when you could get UP done first thing and get to 3,000 [rank, that is] without clicking at all. I'm humans, and when a human player thinks an income requirement is b.s, it's b.s.

I'm going to place all of my forces into defense out of spite and then leave KoC. If they ever fix the system, drop me a line, will ya?

It is absolutely ridiculous to make UP more expensive...It should be cheaper. Makes the game more open for players who click less to have some chance at competing.

Just 2 hours in the new age, an officer of mine wanted to leave cuz of this. he's a mac user and can't click, so he's f***ed. I've been trying to click my officers that don't click as much as I can, but I think many will leave the game soon as it'll take forever for them to have a decent UP.

The admins make this game much more difficult to play for the casual player.
Yes, many have busy lives and still like to play a bit.
I think an early change to less expensive UP would make this a bigger and better game.

300K for 5
414K for 10

Well that hasnt just double. It has quadripled. Way too expensive. Although age 8 was too cheap I think. So should have been more in the middle.

I agree about the costs they are far to expensive, maybe the cheapest should be around 150k so when you start you can buy weapons or the UP

AGE 7 Prices were the best i guess.
but we should still keep the age 8 UP's till 2560 men/day.

USusally i get 2-3 up upgrade within a day or two, but this time i havent even got one coz its too damn expensive. and there is no way to even save 300k coz damn n00bs are hitting for shit gold coz of the stupid attack rules

I would rather click my own link 5 times a day then spend 300k gold to get that UP :D

give the admins a break. I've seen Rocco on the forums already so they are trying to improve it. That there is so much discussion is only good for the future. Eventually everyone will have had many hours of fun this age and all is good.

80 would be estimated between 12-13 mil
160 around 30-40 million if it progresses like it does,

In ages 3 and 4, 5 UP costed more than 300k gold to get there

1 = 10k
2 = 20k
3 = 40k
4 = 80k
5 = 160k

310k for 5 UP daily.

I do agree that UP should be what it was last age, it was really good then.

pris of unit production has to go down

not every body has a lot of time to clik

the dont have a chance now

this is the wrong way to go

ones whe opgrade unit production whe whill kep on getting the men for the rest of the age

that way it mens more gold to attack for
and when whe get the gold whe have more men
easier to finde a target whit more men

This is NOT good...
The only clicker I can use is Cebere and there is hardly 60 people on it.
And usually I can not click that much at work anymore.
So I can never get many men at all.

I hate the more expensive UP....I'm way too lazy to click. And next week, I go back to college, I just dont have the time. Clickers still have the advantage against those who spent 100 mil to get 640 UP. They double it, easily. Don't tell me that isn't an advantage in itself.

Also, is this a glitch? I have 10 UP now, but I get no soldiers....

should start with low ups then keep increasing the value
50k - 5
150k - 10
300k - 20
900k - 40
2.7m - 80
10m - XX

or something like that

My estimated UP costs, just from th information so far.

Unit Production
UP 5 - 303,540 gold
UP 10 - 414,770 gold
UP 20 - 1,190,370 gold
UP 40 - 3,619,590 gold
UP 80 - 11,769,210 gold
UP 160 - 41,362,270 gold
UP 320 - 159,086,550 gold
UP 640 - 679,363,890 gold
UP 1,280 - 3,275,530,880 gold
UP 2,560 - 18,180,457,770 gold

i now the first three are correct pretty much, dunno about the rest

But its ridiculous

I didnt make it up. I just took what we knew (which was that so far the prices have been ten times what they were last age) and applied it to the rest. As it is, i have 10 UP, so i know that 5 up is about right, so is 10, and the next one being 20 is also thereabouts.

Tis called logic, but could be wrong as i said. Only time will tell.

But i dont think the big guns will be getting 2560 this round. I know a couple of sell off values for last round, and basically only a few people could afford 2560 without spending over 1/4 of their sell off value getting it

19th January 2008, 08:18 AM
Dunno if UP is working, kinda hard for me to tell at this point. However, I am saying I'm dissapointed that UPs stopped @ 80 per day. The cost was 11M gold. (not exactly, but there abouts). I really wanted to try to reach 2560 this age at some point when it would have helped me.

I got no problem with the higher costs. Small players already have the benefit of the 24 attacks a day. High TFF like me are farmed for less then one turn, imagine having all those players getting UP 640 very easy, though i believe it is maxed at 80 this age, then there would be no way to outgrow people, except when you have top 10 TFF. Therefore i can live with this new rule, though it sucks UP isn't given atm.

I click (alot) and agree that the UP prices are outrageous, I want smaller players in the game.. what's the fun in being a top account if we end up with less than 10k players? Go back to age 7 UP prices but keep the ability to go up to at least one step above 640

Just see the attack benefits as the small players TBG. In one attack they need to get the same amount as big people gain in 2 turns plus one attack.

Seems impossible to me especially when they themselves canīt gain a decent TBG due to a lack of UP....

Just been told that 80 is about right for what i said, and thats the limit

UP 5 - 303,540 gold
UP 10 - 414,770 gold
UP 20 - 1,190,370 gold
UP 40 - 3,619,590 gold
UP 80 - 11,769,210 gold

Thats all you get folks. Would have been nice to get higher, i had 320 last age, and was aiming for 640 this

UP has been working, at least for me. I have yet to get the 80 UP upgrade though... 40 was expensive enough already. The UP prices are absurd. Basically it's spend a minute clicking or spend 11M. Sheesh.

I think either way... those clicker people will still get the advantage. Whether or not its cheaper or much more costly.

Guys with clickers: more soldiers due to cheap unit production + soldiers from clickers.

Guys without clickers: just a bit more men with unit production upgrade.

I think its more balanced this way coz then guys with clickers wont waste that much gold on the unit production upgrade and more on tools or weapons.Well... just my opinion!

Valheru_Prince
21st January 2008, 08:34 AM
Cost of Up might not even really matter.

Big clickers will get the UP too, most of the time before the middle koc player does. So the gap doesnīt get smaller only bigger. By raising UP cost the little gus canīt buy it at all so expensive UP= more benfits for clickers.

On the one hand, UP should be cheaper to make it easier for Slayers to get men (in my opinion ^^)

On the other hands... After getting your UP, it only takes 10 days to get your money back. So I don't see the problem.

haha, if you haven't played since age 2, things have really changed quite a lot xD but some of the things really are improvements, though on the whole it's still the same game.

making UP more expensive, isn't exactly gamebreaking to me ^^'

more expensive ups are fine but the 80 cap is what give clickers the true advantage. Last age I was a mad clicker and had no trouble staying in the top 200 solo.

I realized now though that even though I want to beat the big chains clicking that much sucks.
