Game Hacks...

I was wondering if these were illeagal at all, I know of sites such as cheatengine.org that would give me free hacks for Maplestory. If its not illegal i was hoping to make my own(That way I know I don't have a virus.) If i could what scipt language would i have to learn (EX: C++).

If the game's End User License Agreement forbids modifying the game memory or executable, or something along those lines, then it is illegal. This is the case for almost all commercially released games. In online games, such as MapleStory, you'll usually get slapped with a ban for using the hacks, though they could take you to court if they really wanted to(haven't seen this happen).
