Was wondering if anyone knew how to implement phpbb to a custom php/mysql site. I would assume that it is somesort of module or function that you add to your site. Does anyone know anything about it?

do you mean intergrate it into your site and templates and things? Or sharing databases, or what?

Perad it isnt' hard to do if you understand how to use Preg replace and a sql database.

you need to be careful when doing that thou its far too easy to end up with some XSS holes in your code. My advice is stick to colours, bold italic and underline maybe font size as well.

so...

when you process the imput in your php code

$text = ereg_replace("yourtag", "htmltag", $text);

for all of the tags you wanna use
easy

no, it's more efficient to use two arrays of regexp replacement terms. And always use preg_replace it is faster than ereg_replace
