What affects overall rank? I'm assuming the 4 stats, but think there is more...

and

what affects gold gain from attacking?

thanks!

Overall rank is made out by the total of your ranks.. say, you have stats
Strike action #2000
Defensive action #2000
Spy #1000
and sentry #1000, it will give you a total of 6000. Your overall rank is then based on how many other accounts that has a total rank of less than 6000.

To maximize the gold from attacking you should at least make sure th tarets you hit has a bigger tff (army) than your's, if not youwill only et a small percenage of the gold.

um low_ranker are u sure its 6000, i would think it would be 3000, i may be wrong

I'm pretty sure 2000+2000+1000+1000 is 6000, yes? Maybe I'm just a bad explainer, but that was what i ment.

Then again, the rank won't be 6000, it would be lower (<6000), as it would be less than 6000 players with less than 6000 rank total.

Maybe you're right about the explainer thing.

Basically what they are saying is all four of your stats affect your rank, and out of all the people, the better each individual stat is, the better your rank will be, because of how they balance out.

Or something like that :P

Its easy to understand once you understand it, but it is hard to explain :P

So, you gain more gold if you have a smaller, but better equipped attack force? or total fighting force size? What else? I read something about gobbos getting more cash for attacking, because of some bonus.

thx for the answers!

What is a 'gobbos'? Its simple... if your strike action is significantly higher than the enemys defense action (damage is not varied EXACTLY to the SA and DA, and may result in an attack loss even with higher strike action), you will win gold. You gain a higher percentage of this gold by having a lower army size than the other person. Thus, if you have a low army size, you will not lose alot of gold (but then again you won't have a high turn based gold anyway)

k, think I got it now. thanks for the help everyone!

One more thing: do I want to have low personnel, or just combat units?

I think you're wrong about this.
My officer is rank 13,972 and I'm rank 8,801.
But the sum of my officers ranking is 40k.
However the sum of my ranking is 42k.
And still my ranking is about 5k lower.
:dork:

Actually it's quite easy:

Your total rank depends on the 4 individual ranks (Strike Action, Defense Action, Spy Rating and Sentry Rating). The individual ranks are determined by the specific rating, the higher your rating, the higher your rank.
When you add up all these specific ranks you get a value X. This is done for all users, so a list of all these values is set up and sorted. The user with the lowest value X will get a overall rank #1 and the highest value X will be the user with the lowest overall rank.

Example:

User A
Strike Action: #1000
Defense Action: #750
Spy Rating: #750
Sentry Rating: #1000

Sum (Value X): 3500 (1000+750+750+1000)

User B
Strike Action: #1
Defense Action: #1
Spy Rating: #1
Sentry Rating: #5000

Sum (Value X): 5003 (1+1+1+5000)

This means that even though User B has 3 number 1 ranks in his specific ranks, he will be ranked lower than user A since his specific ranks aren't balanced, thus his Value X is higher than the Value X of User A.

And the answer to your other question:
The amount of gold you take depends on your Total Fighting Force (TFF) and the number of attack turns you use. For optimal results always use 15 turns and attack someone with a higher TFF than you. In that case you will take about 95% of their gold, otherwise it will be less than 50%. And remember that in a worst case scenario the actual damage you'll do is about 60% of your Strike Action. The random factor plays a big role when you strike.

Hope this helps a bit,
Thomson

These two questions ;)
I added it to the first post I made in this thread to prevent double posting, but it didn't help much...
