What this clan is...
This is a fighter’s clan. We Fight, We War, We Conquest.
I did not want to go all out on this, as it takes to long to write and read. Apologies for those who expected more(or less).

(Known History)
Clipping from: “Great Disappearances Of An Age” -As Written by an unnamed Monk Of The Steady Flame
“....most faceless were hunted down and killed, simply for being faceless. The few that survived, survived by being the best at what they did. Which was survive and above all else kill. Though sheer force of numbers was against them. Once of the eldest students, remembered his master meeting with the top elementalists of his time. While, hundreds of years ago, he doubted people so powerful had died out. The searched out three yet only found one, a Tera Corrint. She was having issues of her own. The elementalist was being badgered daily by fools that had requests upon her great power. After a few days of chatting, armies were notified that the faceless had stopped moving. Finally, the last traces of the remaining faceless armies, Tera Corrint and a thousand of her best students disappeared in the middle of the night. Amazingly just a week before the armies of Brakhaven and the Knights of Darkness converged on the position they were said to inhabit...”

Clipping’s from: “Mysteries of the Magus: Corrint, Salko, and Prodi.” -As Written by an unnamed Monk Of The Steady Flame

“...a phenomena that startles many philosophers today is the fact that three great magicians of untold power, all suffered mysterious deaths or disappearances...”

“Master Prodi, of the Prodi guild of the Stars, was found dead...” “...[with his] hands removed, pinned to the wall by his own magical daggers. It is said Prodi used these daggers for all of his spell casting, like wands, be it mundane or...”

“Salko, Salko, Salko. What is there to say about the man who hasn’t been said? The man was a...” “...preferred orderly magic, and was known to be extremely careful. While performing an experiment with unknown chemicals...” “...ultimately he was found dead with shattered chunks of glass lodged in his throat and chest, suffering no bleeding wounds...” “... the most interesting fact about Salko’s case? He did not die of the wounds, as they were not fatal, while a completely healthy- if elderly...” “...shock, is the said case of his death, as if he were so surprised that even he could make a mistake.”

“Corrint, was considered the most powerful female elementalist of her time...” “...[she] was more than a magician, she stopped many wars, and helped many common people that most of her contemporaries thought beneath them...” “...thought generous it is rumored to be her end. She disappeared one night without a trace, it is generally believed some man came to her door and claimed his son was sick, yet had ulterior motives...” “...several clans are Anti-Magic, it is said they killed her and quietly disposed of the body...

“The only thing that links these three magicians is there odd disappearances or deaths, and there studies in the realms of teleportaion...”

(Unknown History)
Histories - As Written by an unnamed Scholar of Simplicity.
The Sarteran Five- A mock up of five leaders from the faceless lifestyle. The Four Guilds, and that of the common people.

Sartera- A planet, single in its solar system. Completely covered in blackened sand. 13 moons.

Sartera City- Under the masses of sand, there cavern, and a single freshwater ocean. The ocean is vast, but is interrupted several times but large flat islands, suitable for growing things. Upon the largest of the island is built a city, made from the sand above, heated to a durable stone. Built by the Scholars of Simplicity, there are also several enchantments on the roof of the cavern (though thousands of feet from the highest building in the city and the islands. These give light and allow plants to grow, so there may be a ready food supply.

The Purging- Massive wars conducted against those faceless, which tried to return to power. They met there conclusion just after Sartera was founded, as all known faceless went into hiding or left for the new planet.

Guild Histories - As Written by an unnamed Scholar of Simplicity. (in order from least populated to most)
(Will update)

The Workers Class: (Not an official guild, cannot role-play as a PC)
The workers class are those who farm and fish for the rest of the faceless. Making up the majority of the population, they seek to become other members of the faceless society. While they are not slaves, they have limited rights and are looked down upon by those considered of a higher station.

Guild Ranks-
The Speaker: Member in the council of the Lower Five, Greater Five.
Tyron Slanvo (NPC)

Head Fisher: Member of the council of the Lower Five.
Calisk Dorminski (NPC)

Head Rancher: Member of the council of the Lower Five.
Rasha Monalo (NPC)

Head Farmer: Member of the council of the Lower Five.
Ormin Talri (NPC)

Head Woman: Member of the council of the Lower Five.
Sarrah Vorsi (NPC)

Politics:
The politics of Sartera are tenuous, politicians do not get paid, and only establish laws on their free time. The political system consists of two councils.

Council of the Greater Five:
The council of the greater five consists of a Faceless, a Defector, a Kaiden, a Scholar of Simplicity, and a speaker for the common folk. They establish the greater laws of the community. Faceless decide the laws of the community. The Kaiden decide the punishments for each of the laws. The defectors enforce and carry out the sentences. The Scholars preside over hearings to see if a law was actually broken. The speaker discusses matters with all four groups on what should be changed, and how the public view the laws.

Council of the Lesser Five
The speaker, the head fishermen, the head rancher, head farmer, and head woman of the common guild are the lessor five. They confer with themselves on the rights of the lower class. They then give there requests to the speaker who speaks at the council of the greater five.

Alignment:
All, we accept all people. Yet all members of Sartera are looked down upon by all of the other members. There is no fat Sarteran, nor a lazy one, the planet was forged in the flames of the sun, as are its people.

Central Circle Statue:
An elderly man, kneeling to the common guild, the vision of his back perfectly flowing up the north road.

The Faceless:
Traditionalists. After the fall of the faceless society in one world, the remaining powerful faceless wished to live in peace, seeking out the for-founders of the Scholars of simplicity they found a way to come to Sartera. The only group of the five that travels regularly from the safety of the planet (though using a scholar to open portals) to other planets to bring the things needed, or to see how the world has progressed without them. The Faceless, being the least concerned with material possessions take on a ‘priest’ like role.

Guild Hall:

Award:
Iron Coin- The driving factor for the faceless in the past, was above all money. This greed also tore them apart in the end, and caused the creation of their greatest rivals. In recognition of both the good and the bad, the member who gets the most kills gets an iron coin, blank save for an ‘X’ through both faces.

Angryn3wb

The Kaiden:
Not all faceless could get where they needed and kill who they needed with the traditional faceless mock ups and weapons. Those that mastered the arts of the faceless, and that of killing with bear hands were called the Kaiden. Throughout the wars with Brakhaven they began taking specialized positions within the faceless ranks, almost never donning the mask and cane. After the great migration, the Kaiden began perfecting their own arts, and became a guild unto them selves, equal of power within the rest of Sartera.

Guild Ranks-
Kaiden Grandmaster:
Xolotl (Anubis)

Kaiden Master:

Kaiden Elite:

Vindicator:
Léon De Capa (Ace_of_Spades)

The Defectors:
During the wars of Brakhaven, guards needed to be paid off so that faceless could kill as needed. These guards were soon to be found out, and set to be executed. The faceless fond of loyalty, started saving such members and using them in the wide scale battles during the purging. Soon, soldiers from other armies defected and became the main force, with the faceless performing acts of subterfuge. These forces make up the sole police force of Sartera. They are not masked, nor wield traditional faceless weapons. Yet they practice Spartanism as much as any other guild.

Guild Ranks

The Scholars of Simplicity:
When Corrint agreed to transfer the faceless, in exchanges for protection, she brought hundreds of her students with her. These students copied the ideals and philosophies of the faceless as the generations grew on. Corrint and her students began studying abstract magics; magics deeper in that of portal creation, disappearance, and protection. In the end, the Scholars of Simplicity took on roles that of a completely Spartanistic society as the rest of the main faceless guilds. They spelled the moons of the planet, which each serve a different purpose. Some stop seismic activity, keeping the cavern stable and the ocean sound, others stop technologically advanced civilizations to detect the planet, let alone life on it when they near.

A guild requires recruits to function, and because of this the underlings are very important to the guild's operation.Nox walked into the common hall, all was relatively in well positioning. Somewhat lacking the amount of nature and water that he requires, but the room was still clean and tolerable. He wiggled his way across the rug and tended to stay away from anything cold, such as stones. Eventually he took liking to a position on the far wall tot he right, and there he climbed and looked down at those passing by.

Amazing at how many heroes have been joined here, this must definitely be a glorious guild to be a part of. Certainly this will prove useful to my studies of this world, what with all the Faceless texts and history I can review freely.

Nox was not accustomed (sp?) to such grand halls and soon began to become weary as the new environment made him feel unfortable. Although a human might argue that a grand hall was better than a dark cave...

Wooden Shield This is given to teh person who ignroes his suroundings. It is given by the leader as he so deligates. (worst descriptive Rper) That should also have a * by it. Guess I didn't put it in.

Also here is better rank descriptions

Leader: This position is long saught after as it is one of the five seats on the "Council of Greater Five" and there, a say in the laws of the land.

Second Recruit: This rank is what most defectors seek after for it is the leader's right hand man, being at his beck and call all the time. This person(s) is more likaly to lead large wars against enemies and can request certaint tasks

Warrior: These are the backbone of the Defectors clan, providing the Sartera police along with the main assault force. Also would you mind puting everyone as warriors?

Bob left the Council feeling somewhat distraught. He had a list of things to do that he constantly paraded around in his mind. Bring the petit theif that has stolen many days worth of food to justice, train a few more men incase the rumors were true, make sure the people knew that the defactors were the best guild. That sort of thing.

After walking for a few minutes he entered his guild's main hall. It was very majestic, the builders spared no exspence on building the guild that would one day dominate the Sartera land. The roof of the building was roughing one hundred feet high, doomed at the top with the painting of some nameless battle.

Long, sparkling white collums spanned the height, made in the ancient roman style. Between each of the pillers was everyone that had ever joined the Defectors, only partialy filling the one thousand foot long room, many more spaces left in collums needed filling. At the far end, oposite the door, sat a lovely golden throne, which belong to the current leader.

Bob took this chair and awaited his first order of buisness

Unable to find the training grounds, Reyn followed along the North path until stopping at the statue centered in the middle of the city. Looking up, she brushed back her hair to the side, and studied the figure. It looked old, and was fairly large. A man was carved into it, with both plate and leather armour on. A large sword was sheathed upon the statue's back, but the statue also carried an old looking book of sorts in it's left hand. Walking around the base of the statue, she let her hand drag along the stone. It hadn't seemed to be facing anywhere in particular, only to the common hall. Looking back the the statue, she noticed it had a large beard on it, to match the long matted hair, with detail etched into the stone so finely. Blurred memmories clouded her vision, though one image was clear. Reyn's father; who looked similar to the man in stone.

Strength, Speed, Stealth...Father...

Turning from the statue, Reyn headed down the road towards the common hall. Recruited early, she had only been around the defectors guild for a few days, and those had been spent getting ready for the upcoming battle. Only rumours had been heard, but her ears were exceptional and she couldn't mistake it for anything other. The enemy, however, was unclear. Up the large steps, she entered the open double doors, which towered over her. There were a few workers in the common hall, besides that she couldn't see any other guild members.

Not wanting to be known so soon, she said nothing as she walked by tables, and found a spot in the corner by a torch. Reyn grabbed a chair and retreated into the small space, while taking out her bow and a piece of leather, starting to rub the ebony wood of it with the oiled strip of animal skin. If there were announcements, they would be made...

Time passer before the battle, introduction rather...hmm..

Quest Link while you get to further know the insanity of Faceless Perfection

Zelig stood patiently in the central square balencing the edge of a coin on the edge of his sword. “Balence,” Zelig said loudly, “Is the key to victory in any situation. (http://www.giveupalready.com/showthread.php?t=3752)” Dressed in dark brown robes, with an obsidian mask flashing from behind the hood of his mask, the impressive coin training maneuver was made more impressive as he rolled the iron coin, down to the point of the sword, then tilted the blackened steel back up rolling it to the hilt. He did this a few times then stopped, concentrating once again on the coin... instead of showing off.

Bounty offered for any important member of the Magus Council, and Ex-Kaiden Ace_of_Spades. Choose to kill them with honor on the field of battle, or with honor in their sleep.

In a few seconds and with-out a word, Zelig was back in his guildhall.

Upon closer examination the list read...

"Qbirt, Blankwindow, Wolve, Hypa, Vincent_draciz, Rakoth
Angel, Pstr2bliva, Carnage, Bad_Kharma, Legion, Krystin,
Paladin."

Guys, partner up with an enemy, create a thread. When you create a thread, you will be going to a moon, a colony, or TVs actual planet as an observer with a main army. Or if you are a leader the general of an army. Next point. Me and Qbirt will have a clan battle unrestricted, you can join if you want but I would appreciate it if you let me deal with it unless it is something ridiculous like three on one. (remember TV incly doesn’t know we are pissed at them yet. Let us soon show them the fury of Sartera and reduce there planet to ash as ours has been.

OOC: I christian this as being my 666th post on GUA.

Angry, PM me if you need help with the Clan Battle. My character has sort of become your body guard, of sort, so I want to be in on anything of importance.

Hmm, I'll PM one of those guys, but not Pstr and not Carnage (hmm, maybe Carnage).

EDIT - I'll take on Rakoth.

Zelig walks from his guild hall with four huge posters in his hands. Without assistance he nails each poster to a guild in a matter of seconds... they read.

The mysterious warrior known as Caden followed at Zelig's heals. For the time being, the time that he remained with the Faceless, he considered himself the personal body guard of the Faceless leader. He found it kept him both interested and occupied. Besides, what else is there for a professional assassin to do in his off-work hours?

Bounty offered for any important member of the Magus Council, and Ex-Kaiden Ace_of_Spades. Choose to kill them with honor on the field of battle, or with honor in their sleep.

Caden peered through his hood and facial cloth to read the notice that Zelig had just put up.

"Qbirt, Blankwindow, Wolve, Hypa, Vincent_draciz, Rakoth
Angel, Pstr2bliva, Carnage, Bad_Kharma, Legion, Krystin,
Paladin."

"Excellent. I love my job ... hmm, Rakoth, eh?" The name stuck out in Caden's mind from all the others. Not so much in that it was familiar, but that it had a certain sound that the others did not. He hung on the name for a moment, going over it again and again in his head.

In a few seconds and with-out a word, Zelig was back in his guildhall.

As Zelig turned to walk away, Caden called out to him noting an error in the message.

"Hey, you know, there's a name missing from this list. I overheard Bob say that he was leaving the Kaiden and possible this whole place as well. I've never liked him much, actually, and wouldn't mind ending his life quickly. That is, if you don't mind, sir." He gave a short bow of respect.

OOC: IWIK, this is no reflection on you, but rather the interactions between our two characters priviously. Let's face it, we can't all be friends, right? Otherwise, there'd be no point in RPing.

EDIT - I editted the whole Angel-Rakoth thing. Thank Angry for not putting a comma where it's supposed to be.

EDIT 2 - Rakoth has accepted my challenge so I shall fight him unless/until AngryN3wb needs help with his fight, since that is a higher priority.

Let's get cracking. Right now I'm going with Wolve. Marushia, Rakoth and Angel are two separate people, though I haven't a clue as to who Angel is. Guys, you need to take the initiative to do this, since the Magus Council is almost totally in the dark. Don't go through Paladin, that doesn't work; go straight to the members.

Nox
3rd November 2004, 08:54 PM
Nox walking outside of his guild's hall notices a poster put up by one of the Sartera leaders. The poster reads: Bounty offered for any important member of the Magus Council, and Ex-Kaiden Ace_of_Spades. Choose to kill them with honor on the field of battle, or with honor in their sleep.

Hmm... I would definitely not go for the Kaiden. Even though their skills are meager compared to the Faceless, they are still trained in very deadly arts. Plus I feel Xolotl wishes him for his own, however I may be incorrect.

Reading further, Nox observes that continued on the poster is a developed list of potential targets. Skimming through the list quickly, one catches the interest of Nox.

I wonder who this 'Hecate' (Hypa) character seems very interesting. Actually the name interests me the most, considering it is about the only one that isn't hard to pronounce. Then again, judging a person on their name isn't a wise decision but I do not have much of a choice given my resources. I guess I could spy on this 'Hecate' but the chances are I will be caught and outnumbered, better just to face this being head-on.

With a few swift movements Nox left the area of the guild hall and began to devise a plan in secret as to how he would find this Hecate, then how he would defeat him or her?It is not official yet, but I will contact HypaQueen through a Private Message and see...
