Brief description of your alliance: The Silent Hood is an old alliance which has been around since October 2003 and started by one of the best KOC players. (I_WILL_ROCK_YOU aka Chilloutitsjustagame) He was ranked very high throughout a large part of beta until he was hacked while being ranked 13th. He has made TSH a great and fun alliance. Sadly he has decided to leave KOC and left control of the alliance with others. Our clan is quite famous for having a really active board with well over 130,000 posts. If you post a thread usually you can expect an answer within minutes. We also have loads of powerful members. This and last age we had a strong top 50 account and perhaps we will get 2-3 this age. Several top 50 members and many more throughout top 1000. We offer friendly advice and loads of clicks at The Silent Hood.......

Well after a lot of confusion and not knowing what the hell to do for age 5 whilst playing age 4, i came across TSH and started posting around a bit at the forums. I quickly got to know many of the members and felt more and more welcomed into the alliance. I then began to hang out often with the guys in #thesilenthood and became great friends with the alliance leaders and members. I got promoted not that long ago, and have enjoyed every second of being at The Silent Hood.

So in age 5, what did i do? Joined TSH of course and couldn't be more excited. To be honest i've never had as much enthusiasm when it comes to KoC as i do now :-p

TSH can offer absoulutely everything that a KoC player could want out of an allaince ^^ Awesome forums and members, active irc channel full of helpful people ready to help you when you need it, access to all recruiters and information on how to get to them and use them, a very organised community alliance that will stand by and support all it's members 100%

We all found out koc can be a "little" buggy in the beginning of a new age... and even after a few months it sometimes has it's off periods. Well, if you join TSH, you won't get bored when koc gives up on you. There's enough to read or post about on our forum or you could always come in for a chat in #thesilenthood on cyanide server. Most of the time, there's always someone there that's active. You can ask things about koc or just all random stuff you can come up with really ^^

TSH is really a great alliance, we are a very old alliance with a long history and have stuck through it and succeeded to still be one of the oldest most active alliances in KoC. We are getting a lot of new, keen, active members that are becoming apart of the TSH community and loving it!

After all these ages we're still around and haven't dropped a single spot yet. We can still hold a page 1 account and several top500. We've gained lots of new members every year and they grew within koc and tsh :) I'm not saying they wouldn't have been the players they are now without tsh but I'm sure they all got influenced by it in some way. I know I've been, after almost 2 years you're starting to know it inside out and it's great to see new faces working together with the old members ^^

Ahh another day in koc land. Though not a lot has changed... Koc gets its little updates and stuff every age but TSH is something that will never change. Sure, we get new members and so, but our values will never change.

TSH has been around for 2 years now and had its share of big players. Every age we held an account strongly on page 1. And every age we've been neutral and open to all new players. A new player can ask us any question and there's always someone around who can help out.

There's not a lot to do to join us. You just have to go to the forum and register your account there... make a join post and wait for an admin to approve you. All we ask is that you stay active.

The Silent Hood is a strong neutral alliance that has withstood the test of time. We have seen our fair share of noobs come in with little pre-existing knowledge of the game and go onto becoming a top player, myself included. I can speak with personal experience that the members at TSH are full with knowledge about the game and are willing to answer any question, no matter how silly or noobish they may seem. So if you want to learn how to play the game right, TSH is the place to do it at.

I've been making replies for this thread for almost 2 years already and I'm running out of things to say :p

Every time when a new age starts you can see everyone clicking like mad to get a bit closer to that number 1 spot. And after a while the clicking becomes a little less and the activity on koc becomes a little lower. So then it's time to find some alliances to make it a some more fun.

Some spam, some general discussions about koc (for all the problems and things), some general discussion about real life things and lots more. TSH is a great alliance and probably the only reason i played KoC as long as i did :) The only thing i regret about joining TSH is that i didnt join them sooner :-p We have a huge bunch of active, really cool people that are there to help you whenever you need it. I'm always amazed that people follow these other big alliances for the reasons they do.... they think they can make it big and become a huge player.

But what good is that power if you don't know how to use it? What good is strength if you have no where to use it?

TSH is incredibly loyal to its members. We protect each other like some sort of... like.... crazed protective animal protecting its... um... other animals?

Anyhow, take me for example. For some reason, I have loyal freinds on KOC. They trust me, and I trust them. They follow me through the CRAZIEST conflicts, the most insane schemes, and the most bass-ackwards plans. Why? Loyalty. Trust. Camaraderie.

We aren't some group climbing over each other to get to the top. We help each other out, and we know and protect our own. A sense of belonging, and in a text-based RPG a sense of family is a really rare thing. Especially since we have some really hot female members... I have a hard time considering them family. Because that would be like... wanting to bang your sister. Well, Haplo's sister is hotter than lava on a sunny day... But man... we got some hot sisters here.

Those hot sista's he was referring to, they understand Duct and so it's cool. That's what it's about. Understanding. At TSH we help eachother understand the game, and we also try to understand eachother, no matter what your native language is.

Well, let me say this, The Silent Hood has changed my life in a slight way. But that slight way would not have been changed if it were not for the Silent Hood. There are thousands of slight things that change me. The Silent Hood is a small margin, and a margin of a change is the margin is occupies. The way it changed me is to make me enjoy KoC again. Would I be a different person without KoC? Maybe...maybe not...maybe.....

But! I also quit playing KoC for awhile, and the Silent Hood still didn't bore me and took a small portion of my life.

Although that pie chart has nothing to do with me and the silent hood, I'm sure it has to do with something, something with education. I never would have used that pie chart if it weren't for me using a non-related reference if I were not promoting the Silent Hood in a GUA forum would I? No...probably not. Though we can pretend The Silent Hood is equal to Nuclear Industry, and National Laboratory, Postdoctoral Position, and Other Research all combined represent the amount of time/influence of martial arts in my life. We can also assume that Nuclear Industry represents a combination of KoC and The Silent Hood into my routine of life. Industry (other than nuclear) can be related to school, while continue for PhD can represent everything else of my free will.

Why didn't I just make a pie chart with the correlating portions to their accurate descriptions you ask? Well, I didn't feel like it.

All in all, I like TsH, it's kinda neat and stuff.

You know what I think is funny? You have some alliances, where people have never even talked with their leader, and where new members are more worth as clickwhores than as actual members/allies, and where, as a new member, you have almost nothing to say, and it's almost impossible to get higher up.

This is funny because every members is worth just as much, and deserves the same amount of respect. If one of our members got so much as flamed/threatened, we're ready to protect them.

That doesn't mean you can join and immidietly start begging for protection, of course, but it does mean that, if you're active for even a few days, and you're a decent person, we'll be more than willing to protect and help you if you need it ;)

The thing is TSH is a very open alliance... I joined when tsh was semi-established and worked my way up to become one of the admins... and even before that, as a mid level member, my voice was heard, and was influential...

Some people dislike those new players that have a bunch of questions now that they just started playing, but TSH started out as an alliance for new players only. Now we're open to everyone but we still don't mind those questions. It's normal to have questions when you start so you shouldn't hesitate to join us and ask everything you don't quite get yet. Experienced players will give you a clear answer. We all started as noobies and look where some of us are now :)

There are lots of alliances out there that people join just because it's a big alliance, because it holds a top 5 account in koc, because they think they'll get more support there. TSH isn't big, it doesn't have 500 active members but we do have power and support. Because we're a normal, mediumsize clan we get to know our members. We can easily have a chat with them and find out what kind of people they are, they're not just a number they're people. And we look out for each other and support each other, through life and koc.

I think most of the members feel the same way you do Dip ^^ I know I certainly do. Once you're a little active around the forum you get to know all these people, and after a while you realise you can really count on them for anything. If you have problems with koc, they'll be enough alliances out there who can help you, but we really share "personal" (it's still the internet :p) contact.

I think everyone knows about every member we have and we know what's going on with each person. There's a great friendship and lots of people will try to help you out even with personal problems :). Every person I met in TSH is just great, joining this alliance was the best idea I ever had.

We've had many members who started with us and then went on to make their own alliance, some succeeded and had a good one... but most always came back to TSH even if it was only to talk to us again. We support new members and let them grow into the game some more by giving them advice.

All of these posts are great, but let me let you in on a secret: Each member of The Silent Hood receives 3 extra clicks for every click on several of the major recruiting programs. You dont hear about it much because, of course, it is top secret. I only am alowed to post it here because I have made a deal with several of the moderators. We also give huge sell offs once a month to the most valuable player. We even have access to some of the oldest players of the game.

Honostly folks, this game got pretty lame for me at the end of age 4. I mean, it was all just attacks and getting attacked. I learned of the alliances and decided to do some research. Three weeks later and after a rigourous scientific process, I decided to join The Silent Hood. I have not been dissappointed. The people are great, the action is great and you need to check it out!

This age we've decided to merge chains with 2 other alliances which we had good contact with before. We're very excited about this new age and hope our chain will show some good things! In age 5 I was one of the few to finish in the top 100 without cheating. I finished in the top 100 because of the hard work and dedication of my freinds and compatriots, TSH.

This age I'm playing low, due to graduation and job hunting, but I'm still going strong, because of them. If I didn't love TSH so much, I'd have left the game long ago.

I don't play much, haven't played much since age 3 beta in fact :P But TSH is still the best alliance there ever was.

Like duct said, he finished in the top 100 last age without cheating, and right now we've got our head of chain in the top 100 as well, with numurous other strong and high ranked accounts too boot.

The coolest thing about TSH is that both duct and our current head of chain (that's elfy) are actually seen on our forums alot, you can talk to them if you're bored, and they'll help you if you've got a problem. I don't think that's something you see in alot of alliances nowadays.

We maybe a little inactive on GUA lately, but we're definitely active on coc! As you can see here: http://www.centerofchaos.com/topalliance/in.php?id=89 we finally reached the number 1 spot there :D

And we're also doing well in KoC, eventhough we seem to get in a lot of crap deals and bad chains, we're still holding a top 10 spot and another top 30 place and.... one at 54 :) and besides those we have numerous top 500 places. So we're doing good ^^

I believe TSH is the best alliance. We have many members ranked in the top 500, not to mention BaBsIIe at about 10th, and probably the best sabbers in the game:nunchucks (ducttapefashion).
We also stick together really well. And yes, we are #1 on coc.
