Rane had been journeying from his home of Marsh after his mother's death and had arrived to the distant city of Ashtinsk. It was barely a dot in the distance, but he saw parts of it. He stood by the rushing river that he had been following. My what a journey its been... he thought to himself. It was getting close to night as he desided it might be best to seek shelter before he made it to Ashtinsk.
He was journeying to find a teacher recommended from his mother before her death. He was a master of what was called "ninjitsu", a word alien to him. He was told he was somewhere near the town of Ashtinsk and could be found there. It had been a rough year since his mother's "death" by the Dinvine Guardians and wishes nothing more then the destruction of these beasts.
Rane enjoyed the beatuiful colors of the sky towards the sunset. He knew it would be a dark, cool night. He noticed a forest near the river that would be good refuge for the half of the night in which he wanted to rest. He dashed in the direction of the dark, deathly-feeling forest. The trees has a ghastly feel about them, with their brownish-black tint. They still had some form of leaves, but they felt as though drained of life.
Could this be the work of the Divine Guardians?
Rane entered it cautiously, observing all movement in this forest, yet there was no movement except a gentle breeze. Rane always loved any breeze, as it made his travels much faster. but this breeze was quite different then a normal breeze. This breeze felt dead, just like the forest. Rane resisted this feeling as possibly fear as he glided up the side of a tree up to its top branches. The trees were about 50-75 feet tall, so it was ok to scale them within reason.
I wonder if this master would be living in this area near this forest?
He knew he had come close to where this master trainer must be, but he was never totally unstanding of this intuition that he had for auras. Sensing energies had never been a grat strength with him, but he was still learning.
He found a sturdy area in the center of a tree good enough to rest in. He would push the thoughts of fear from his mind in order to sleep. The thoughts of the Divine Guardians still haunted him til he fell asleep.
