How can you not?

"We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" have to be two of the most reproduced songs ever.

But Queen's true masterpiece is Bohemian Rhapsody. One of the greatest songs of all time.

Bicycle Race isn't bad either, but it's a big odd for most people.

Nonetheless, it was a great band. Some music just lasts... and Queen is one of those bands that can pass from generation to generation.

Queen will never die

No argueing about that. They were and are the embodiment of good music. I won't repeat SK01 above but I have to add these songs before I'm satisfied with my post:

Seven Seas of Rhye
Another One Bites the Dust
Flash

Ow, and Innuendo was also pretty good... and The Show Must Go On makes me sad... which makes it a good song.

Yeah, Queen rock.
Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock you, Bicycle Race and We are the Champions just kick ass.

Killer Queen wasn't that bad either.

Without a doubt, Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever.

Is this the real life-
Is this just fantasy-
Caught in a landslide-
No escape from reality-
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see-
Iím just a poor boy,i need no sympathy-
Because Iím easy come,easy go,
A little high,little low,
Anyway the wind blows, doesnít really matter to me,
To me

Mama,just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled my trigger,now heís dead,
Mama,life had just begun,
But now Iíve gone and thrown it all away-
Mama ooo,
Didnít mean to make you cry-
If Iím not back again this time tomorrow-
Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-

Too late,my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine-
Bodyís aching all the time,
Goodbye everybody-Iíve got to go-
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth-
Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows)
I donít want to die,
I sometimes wish Iíd never been born at all-

I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-
Galileo,galileo,
Galileo galileo
Galileo figaro-magnifico-
But Iím just a poor boy and nobody loves me-
Heís just a poor boy from a poor family-
Spare him his life from this monstrosity-
Easy come easy go-,will you let me go-
Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go-
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go let me go
No,no,no,no,no,no,no-
Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go-
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me-

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye-
So you think you can love me and leave me to die-
Oh baby-canít do this to me baby-
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here-

Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me,

Any way the wind blows....

What about Bicycle Race? That's a pretty good song too, and a bit less known (so it's not nearly as played out - I like that). I think that it really challenges Bohemian Rhapsody with its light flirty sound.

Bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like

You say black I say white
You say bark I say bite
You say shark I say hey man
Jaws was never my scene
And I don't like Star Wars
You say Rolls I say Royce
You say God give me a choice
You say Lord I say Christ
I don't believe in Peter Pan
Frankenstein or Superman
All I wanna do is

Bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my
Bicycle races are coming your way
So forget all your duties oh yeah!
Fat bottomed girls
They'll be riding today
So look out for those beauties oh yeah
On your marks get set go
Bicycle race bicycle race bicycle race
Bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle
Bicycle bicycle bicycle bicycle
Bicycle race

You say coke I say caine
You say John I say Wayne
Hot dog I say cool it man
I don't wanna be the President of America
You say smile I say cheese
Cartier I say please
Income tax I say Jesus
I don't wanna be a candidate for
Vietnam or Watergate
Cos all I wanna do is

Bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle bicycle bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like

OMG!!! I'm a Queen fanatic! I lvoe there stuff, I always have. I think its because I was raised on them. I love Freddies voice, its like a lullaby to me.

My all time favourite of there songs tho has got to be "Who wants to live Forever". I just heard that song and fell in love with it. Bohemian Rhapsody has to be my second fav, well I love all their songs, but Who wants is at te top of my list.

"Who Wants To Live Forever"

There's no time for us
There's no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams yet slips away from us

Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever....?

There's no chance for us
It's all decided for us
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us

Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?

Who dares to love forever?
When love must die

But touch my tears with your lips
Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever
And we can love forever
Forever is our today
Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today

Who waits forever anyway?

That's what's so scary about Queen - my parent's love them... How can I admit to liking something that my parent's think is "hip"?

*shiver*

Anyone else have the problem of songs becoming entirely un-cool the moment your parents express an interest?

Anyone else have the problem of songs becoming entirely un-cool the moment your parents express an interest? It's SO difficult. The trick is to keep them quiet when you're around your peers. It's okay to be a classic rock fan.

They did a similar trick with the South Park "Chin-Pokomon" episode. The parents all got into it and the kids realized it was stupid.

Mercury and Queen have to be one of my favorite classic rock bands. Too bad Mercury had to die of aids or they would still be rocking it right now. This is one of the only bands on the radio me and my dad can relate too...i mean mind you he is a very open minded man about my music but this is just one of those bands that both generations love.

And of course my favorite song, Bohemian Rhapsody...i don't know why. It just is.

Time to resurrect this Thread.

What do you think of the Queen and Paul Rodgers Tour that is coming?

I don't know how good it will be without Freddie, but there will be a lot of great music!

Bohemian Rhapsody should be the first song, in my opinion.

Without Freddy it really isn't Queen. I'm not saying by any means the band can rock with out him, but without him on the vocals...it just really isn't Queen. When you think of Queen you don't automatically go...Oh yeah the drummer...his name is such and such (unfortunately i don't know it either.)...no you think of Freddie and his awesome vocals.

Queen without Freddie I don't know sounds like a desprate attempt to make money.

Queen without Freddie is not realy Queen, it may look like the real thing, it may even sound like the real thing but there's still something missing......

Is John Deacon, thier bass player going be in the tour? I mean since Freddie died, he has just dropped off the face of the earth. He didn't even go to the tribute concert, at least I don't think he did. Nor was he at the cerimony where Queen was inducted into the Music Hall of Fame.
I have a list of songs that apply to my friends. Fat Bottomed Gilrs, Killer Queen, The Game, Now I'm Here, Don't Stop Me Now, Somebody to Love, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy and Sever Seas of Rhye. I think that last one is the best. Then again that is my song.
I love all thier songs and they are, IMO, the best band there ever was and ever will be. At least in my lifetime.
