What about introducing "prisoners of war" into the game play. It would substitute the clicking recuting system.

It would give a player a better chance to dispute the top places, because right from the begining of the KOC Age4 you are out of the race. The best clickers gets faster larger armies and larger income.

The changes would look like this:

1. On each atack you steal money and get "prisoners of war"
2. Each player has a Prison that can be upgraded to keep more number o prisoners.
3. You pay to convert the prisoners into your army or wait a relax time so they come to your army automaticaly.
4. When your prison capacity is full the prisoners goes to your commander and so on.
5. You can do rescue missions to release prisoners from other players and integrate into your army directly.

This filosofy could substitute the clicking recruter and make the players to become more active in the game, attacking and doing spy missions.

I want your opinion, because im tired of looking at numbers all day.

it would also encourage fake accounts, and this is always bad

agreed.

besides, it doesn't really even the playing field.

if anything, you capture prisoners oNLY if you have a smaller army..
